How to submit your event to the SHOUT's arts & culture calendar
Thanks for organizing an arts or cultural event! We launched our calendar in part to help you find your audience.
What we list
We list arts and cultural events geared toward adults in the Wichita metro area, plus selected events further afield. Within these parameters, we list:
- performing arts productions
- live music and DJ sets
- gallery receptions and artist talks
- art markets
- festivals
- creative gatherings
- film screenings
- free creative workshops
- poetry readings
- author and book events
- drag and comedy shows
- open mics
- humanities or science lectures
- fashion shows
- “alternative” sports events.
What we don't list
Currently we do not have the capacity to list:
- events for youth under 18
- classes
- ticketed workshops
- fundraisers and galas unless they take the form of one of the arts and culture events listed above
- explicitly religious events, such as worship services. (We do list arts and culture events that are hosted by communities of faith.)
Essential elements of an event listing
- Share the cost of your event or state that it’s free.
- Note if it is all ages, 18+, or 21+.
- Include information about accessibility, if relevant (if your venue is only accessible by stairs, for example).
- Include a link to your website or event listing.
Please note:
- Events are subject to editing.
- We do not currently include images in event listings.
- If you share incomplete or conflicting information, your listing may be rejected.
- Your listing will be rejected if it does not fall within the boundaries of what we list.
