Our commitment to sharing accurate information
Our goal is always to get the facts right the first time around — but when we make mistakes, we correct them.
We do our best to ensure the accuracy of the facts we share in our news and feature stories as well as reviews, essays, and opinion pieces. However, we make mistakes sometimes. When this happens, we do our best to correct the record.
If you notice an error in one of our newsletters, on our website, or in one of our social media posts, please contact Emily Christensen, the SHOUT’s managing editor: emily@shoutwichita.com.
If you notice an error on our calendar, email calendar@shoutwichita.com.
If needed, we will take additional steps to verify the information before correcting the mistake. We typically add a note of correction that explains what we changed and when we made the update.
No one loves making mistakes, but we kind of love making corrections! They underline our commitment to sharing accurate information, and we appreciate it when our readers let us know about errors.
Please note that, in general, we do not update our content after publication for other reasons. However, we welcome feedback from the subjects of our coverage and from our readers.
Our corrections policy is subject to change. This page was last updated on April 23, 2025.
