“Innovations” + “The Promise:” An evening of contemporary dance
7-8:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the B-29 Doc Hangar, Education & Visitors Center at Eisenhower National Airport, 1788 S. Airport Road in Wichita
Choreographed by Ballet Wichita’s Guest Choreographer Logan Pachaiarz, the production will include two contemporary pieces. “The Promise,” a short work set to the music of Bach, explores the unbridled nature of dance in its purest form. “Innovations,” a new work in five movements, is a new contemporary performance commissioned by Ballet Wichita. The production is in collaboration with Wichita State’s Shocker Studios and the Fairmount String Trio.

Swingin’ Sundays with the Wichita Swing Dance Society
7-9 p.m. every Sunday at the Lux Ballroom, located inside The Lux, 120 E. First St. N. in Wichita
The WSDS offers a beginner-friendly dance lesson every Sunday at 7 p.m., followed by a social dance from 7:30-9 p.m. You don’t need a partner or any experience to attend. A “DJ battle” will take place April 7 during the social dance.
